400 kV grid · Reșița node
The infrastructure preceded the project.
The Transelectrica 400/220/110 kV node at Reșița was upgraded in 2024–2025. Three 400 kV corridors converge with four EU PCI designations. The project was located to be adjacent to this grid — not the other way round.

650 MVA total: one 400/220 kV unit (400 MVA) and one 400/110 kV unit (250 MVA, upgraded 2024–2025).
Substation — 650 MVA installed
Corridor 1 — Porțile de Fier → Reșița operational (117 km)
Corridor 2 — Reșița → Pančevo, both circuits operational (131 km)
4 EU PCI designations (ENTSO-E TYNDP P144)
PPC Romania — 100 MW adjacent (Dec 2025)
Corridor 3 — Reșița → Timișoara (under construction)

Installed ≠ Available
What 650 MVA does and does not mean.
650 MVA installed
Transformer equipment physically installed, tested and energised. Transelectrica's investment — complete.
Available connectable MW
Depends on existing loads, N-1 contingency and new consumers. Only the formal ATR determines this figure.
50–200 MW indicative
Based on node scale and upgrade history. Informational only — binds nobody. ATR closes the gap.
